SEASON CONCEPT

The first outdoor item that attracted me was a frame pack made with aluminum in 1970’s. It was a Kelty’s worn-out mountaineer frame pack sitting in our storage. It was one of the inventions that represents the era and became an icon for backpackers and used by many at the time. Many of the products from this period are masterpieces that have become the foundation of today's outdoor and sportswear products with the advances in materials and manufacturing processes.

Gore-Tex products were first commercialized in 1976, and other fabric manufacturers have developed their own fleece and nylon materials, which are used to create iconic jackets that are still loved today. At that time, items were intended to withstand intense use and harsh conditions, and durability and sturdiness were important, which was expressed in the term "heavy-duty. This keyword “heavy duty” became the base of outdoor fashion in the 1970s and was the first style to connect the outdoors and fashion in the world. Items from this era are hard, heavy, sturdy and have an attractive existence.

From there, outdoor style has now evolved into a genre over the past 50 years and has established a style in the fashion world. It has been 20 years since I started this brand and there have been constant innovations in materials, sewing, and knitting techniques.

Light and stretchy materials that are suitable for movement are used in sportswear and have gradually come to be used in everyday fashion items and have gained citizenship. My philosophy for clothing that should be suited to human movement was originally inspired by this evolution over the past 50 years.

What I want to focus on now is the evolved products and styles, and I am creating what I define as the future possibilities of outdoor and sportswear. We are not simply rehashing products from the past but adding modern technology and materials to them. By fusing the past with the present, we can create a new style.

The styles of the 70's were not yet produced by outdoor brands, and we can fine pictures of users creating their own styles by improving denim cut-offs, or personalizing flannel and cotton check materials. To re-create such items with today's technology is also one of the themes.

Shirts that look like normal cotton madras checks, ombre checks, or stripes are replaced with polyester mesh or gauze, which are light, quick-drying, and stretchy materials. For the knitwear, various mesh fabrics were digitized to create a seamless, lightweight, and lean design.

The light synthetic leather is used in shorts and backs, and 3-layer items such as Gore-Tex are also made as light as possible. The idea is to define an evolutionary theory of technology using classic yet modern techniques.
