Brutalism, the architectural style which should be called the origin of Modernism because of the use of simple and rustic materials such as concrete and glass and its outstanding functionalism, was projected onto the functional wear.

Brutal means rough and brutalist architecture includes a method called béton brut, raw concrete in French.

The use of the functional and primitive materials emphasizes the colors and shapes around them. The fusion of ethic and aesthetic of staining and deterioration of materials over time is still a very influential technique, which can also be applied in clothes as the fusion of functional gear and fashion.
